SBI Clerk Admit Card 2018
Admit card for SBI Clerk Exam 2018 will be released in the coming days. Candidates can check the official website of SBI right after 10th February 2018. Candidates can download admit card using their Roll number and Date of Birth. It’s compulsory to keep your Hall ticket in an exam hall.
A recent photo has to be posted on the admit card. It is better if you have the same copy of the photograph, which you uploaded during the online registration process. SBI Clerk Exams 2018 Cut Off Marks
The candidates who have appeared for the SBI Clerk exams 2018 will be eagerly looking forward to the release of Cut off marks. The cut off marks will be released on the official website of SBI in the careers section along with the results. The cutoffs marks will be declared in State wise pattern. In the 2016 Clerk exams, SBI has released the section and overall cutoff marks.
Candidates can check the cutoffs marks of both the preliminary and main exams here once it has announced. Revised examination dates
The SBI has extended the examination dates further by two months. Previously the preliminary exam was scheduled to be held from the month of April till the end of May. The SBI has released the notification for the recruitment of SBI Clerk 2018 for the post of Junior Associate. There will be a total of 9633 vacancies in the SBI Clerk Recruitment 2018. Except Jammu and Kashmir, for every state, there is minimum 3 posts vacant in the OBC section and minimum 7 posts vacant for the General category section. For Jammu and kashmir there is only two seats total. Speaking of maximum in a state, there are maximum 695 posts in the General Category section and there are maximum 1420 seats in the OBC section.

The educational qualifications, age limit, and nationality of the candidates are considered in the eligibility criteria of SBI Clerk Recruitment 2018 for the post of Junior Associates. 1. Educational Qualification
The candidate should have graduated from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification approved by the central government.
2. Age Limit

SBI Clerk Examination 2018 Syllabus and Exam Pattern
SBI bank exams are one of the toughest exams in India. Getting a clerk job in SBI is not a cake walk. A candidate has to have good planning and preparation if he has to pass through each hurdle of a selection process. Given below are the details about SBI clerk 2018 examination pattern and syllabus.
SBI clerk Examination pattern
The SBI clerk recruitment examination is a three-phase examination. To be selected, the candidate has to first pass the Common Written Examination (CWE). Once the candidate qualifies in CWE, he has to attend the main examination. After the main examination, a selection process will be held based on interview and document verification.
Pattern of the Main examination
There are total 190 questions to be answered for the sbi clerk main examination. There will be questions from Banking and financial awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, General English, Computer Aptitude and Reasoning Ability.
The candidate will be given 160 minutes (2 hours 40 minutes) to complete the main examination paper.
Except for the last section, every other section has one mark for each question. The final section carries 60 marks for the questions. There are negative marks for the wrong answers. The number of questions for each section is as follows:

SBI Clerk examination syllabus
The syllabus of SBI preliminary examination mainly focuses on assessing the numerical ability, reasoning ability and general English language knowledge of the candidate. For the main examination, in addition to the numerical, reasoning and English language related questions, questions related to general awareness, marketing aptitude, and computer awareness will be asked. The main examination will be held 3-4 weeks after the result of the common written examination.
Salary, Perks and Allowances
The starting salary for the post-SBi clerk is R. 11,770. The increment in salary each year for the post if Rs. 655.
From the third year onwards, the salary of the employee would be roughly 13,700.
In addition to the salary, the employee will be given allowances as fixed by the SBI (the allowance amount varies to the occasion).
Promotions for SBI clerk
A clerk in SBI can get promotion in two ways. They get promotion naturally after completing a certain period of service or by writing departmental tests conducted by SBI. An SBI clerk after completing ten years of service will be automatically promoted to Senior Assistant.
An SBI clerk can become a Trainee Officer by clearing a departmental test. After completing three years of service, an SBI clerk can apply for Trainee Officer post. A clerk can become a Junior Manager Grade Scale officer if he/she clears departmental test and interview for the above-mentioned post. This type of promotion to the JMGS officer requires twelve years of normal service.

Promotion Criteria for Clerk post
Let’s check out some basic thing to remember for the promotion of SBI Clerical post.
- If an SBI clerk officer completes twenty years of service, then he will be promoted to the post of Special Assistant. After thirty years of service, the clerk gets promoted to Senior Special Assistant.
- The Senior assistant will get a special allowance of Rs.1800. The special allowance for Special Assistant and Senior Special Assistant are Rs.2500 and Rs.3500 respectively.
- The Trainee officer post will have two years of probation period after being promoted.
Probation period for SBI clerk
Once a candidate clears the main examination and passes in the interview, he will be posted as a Junior Associate in one of the SBI branches. The Junior associate will have to go through a minimum probation period of six months. During the probation period, a Junior Associate has to complete 15 e-lessons. If he is not able to complete these fifteen e-lessons in the prescribed time, then the probation period for him will get extended.
By probation period, what the bank is trying to do is impart practical knowledge to the newly appointed employee. The bank has all authority extend the probationary period for a new employee if it is not satisfied with his performance in 6 months.
